About GSI Africa
Helping Ghana's schools go electric
We're a team of school leaders, marketers and technologists who saw what fuel was costing schools, and set out to make electric the practical choice.

How we got here
We started with the school bus
Between us we've run schools and advised them for years. Fuel and maintenance are among the biggest running costs a private school carries, and the school bus is where they show most. Electric buses had become reliable and affordable elsewhere, but no one was helping Ghana's schools find a good one, check it and pay for it over time.
So in 2025 we began vetting suppliers in person, writing a bus standard built for children, and bringing a bank in early. In 2026 we took electric cars to the University of Education, Winneba, where staff and visitors took more than 70 test drives in two days. Now we're securing the first school buses with manufacturers.

Where we're going
Transport first, then the whole campus
Transport
Electric school buses and staff cars, with vetted suppliers and bank financing. This is where we are today.
Energy
Solar and smarter energy use, so schools charge their buses for less.
Technology
Tools that help schools run their fleets and their campuses better.
Environment
Measuring what schools save, so they can show it to parents and partners.

How we work
Checked, financed, supported
- We check vehicles and suppliers in person before recommending them.
- We verify each school's readiness before going to a bank.
- We bring the school, dealer, bank and insurer together, and stay as the single point of contact.
- We say what is a target and what is done.
