Campus EV Tour

Two days that turn curiosity into test drives

Most people have never sat in an electric car. The tour changes that: we set up on campus with the dealers and the bank, and staff can look, ask, sit in and drive.

How the UEW Campus EV Experience went

The launch

We launched with UEW leadership and staff at the Akwasi Asabere-Ameyaw building on 19 June 2026, with an electric SUV parked outside and the plans for the exhibition laid out in the boardroom.

Two days at the GUSS Mall car park

On 16 and 17 July the exhibition filled the GUSS Mall car park. Staff and visitors took more than 70 test drives across seven electric and hybrid models, looked under the bonnet with the dealers, and spoke to Access Bank about financing on the spot. Interest was strong, and several staff asked for purchase invoices.

We're sourcing the best vehicles for staff and working with university staff unions, Access Bank and our dealer partners on group terms, so the people who drove the cars at UEW can own one.
